Hibah began testing different methods, techniques and silhouettes to see which one gave us the best outcome. Then I filmed the clip using a camera and tripod to make sure the camera wasn't shaky. I recorded it from a birds eye view while Hibah added the black ink to the water that was on the paper. We did this twice so we would have extra footage if needed and because one of the houses turned out darker than the other one. This meant we had two different clips to play around with in the editing process. We used water colours to create the logo which allowed us to get the flowing effect we wanted.
Then we went back to the Media room to edit our clip. We watched both clips and decided we wanted the beginning of the first one and the end of the second clip. We used Premiere to edit our logo. During the editing process we cut out certain parts that we didn't want, added the name of our company and added effects. The effects we used were the black and white filter to make the colours stand out more and the strobe filter to add that flash of bright light.
This is our Final Product:
We decided to add the music in later as we will be using the music from our trailer. This is a common convention of trailers to have the production company have the same background music in the trailer but its own in the actual movie. Overall, I am really happy with the way our logo turned out and I am excited to shoot our trailer.
